June 2023 - Preparing for Change

Mental Health Month was fun and exciting at Glendon School. We had many spirit days such as jersey day and Star Wars day.  "A smoothie per day keeps the grumpiness away" was our moto when serving smoothies to everyone in the school. Hats on for Mental Health was also a day we promoted, and chalk the walk was a hit as well. A mental health coloring contest resulted in 9 different winners, one in all the grades that participated; they each received a little gift with things such as fidgets, concession cards and more.

This month we are focusing on Preparing for Change. At Glendon school, this means that we are focusing on preparing for the transition into summer break and for life after high school for our grads and future graduates.

Sometimes, life changes are inevitable but that does not make them any easier to manage.

Here are links on how to prepare for change, and how to help kids handle changes.
