Student Counselling

The Student Advocacy Counsellor in each school site promotes student success, provides preventive services and responds to identified student needs by providing individual and group counselling to students, linking students and families with appropriate community agencies and by referring “at risk” students and families to appropriate community agencies.  The Student Advocacy Counsellor coordinates, researches and/or develops preventative and intervention programs to enhance and support the school and district’s needs.  The SAC works in partnership with community agencies, school staff, students, and families.
