March 2023 - Healthy Lifestyle

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians who tried out our activities last month on compassion. We had lots of fun learning about compassion and how we can put ourselves in someone else’s shoes, and at the same time, have compassion for ourselves. 

This month we are focusing on Healthy Lifestyle. This includes getting enough sleep, healthy eating, and being physically active. At our school, this also means we will be focusing on attending classes and staying on track with school work.

Do you struggle with what to put in your kid’s lunch every day? Here is a link to some information on Packing a Healthy Lunchbox.

Here are some other healthy habits to focus on:

  1. Cook a healthy meal as a family 
  2. Eat fruits and vegetables every day 
  3. Get enough sleep (Same bedtime every night)
  4. Be physically active every day 
  5. Do something that makes you feel good every day 
  6. Turn off screens and live in the moment
  7. Brush and floss teeth daily 
  8. Do an activity with your family 
  9. Drink water instead of pop or juice 
  10. Pick healthy snacks
